Hoshiarpur- World No Tobacco Day was celebrated in Red Ribbon Club and NSS Government College Hoshiarpur under the leadership of College Principal Anita Sagar with the support of Incharge Prof. Vijay Kumar. Awareness about the ill effects of tobacco was spread by organizing seminars, oath taking ceremonies and poster making programs so that the staff and students stay away from it and inspire others to stay away from it.

In her address, College Principal Anita Sagar mentioned the ill effects of tobacco on our health and said that it harms us in such a way that we become a living dead even before death and fall prey to many diseases.
That is why we should never consume it. Sharing his views on this occasion, Prof. Vijay Kumar said that in today's time, even educated people consume drugs, even though there is a warning written on the packet about the harmful effects of their consumption.
That is why it is said that nowadays many educated people are also fools. Whereas it is their duty to perform their duty by stopping illiterate people from consuming it so that tobacco can be eliminated from the society. On this occasion, the staff and students were sworn in and students Khushboo and Shine spread awareness by making posters according to the topic.
