Una, September 10-Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, District Una has achieved the target of 100% registration by achieving historic success in the special beneficiary registration campaign run from 15 July to 15 August 2025. During this campaign which lasted for one month, Una district did 160 percent registration.

For this achievement, District Program Officer Una Narendra Kumar congratulated the Child Development Project Officers, Anganwadi workers and the entire team and said that this success is a matter of pride for Una district and it is also an inspiration for other districts.
DPO Narendra Kumar honored all the CDPOs, Supervisors, District and Block Coordinators of Una district in his office for doing excellent work.

Narendra Kumar said that this success is the result of the team spirit and continuous hard work of the District Administration, Women and Child Development Department and Anganwadi workers. During the campaign, the work of identifying eligible pregnant and lactating women and linking them to the scheme was done systematically and actively.
He said that the entire team of the department, including Anganwadi workers, assistants, supervisors, block coordinators, child development project officers, worked with full dedication and achieved this remarkable target.
*What is Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
The objective of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is to provide better nutrition and health benefits to pregnant and lactating women. Under the scheme, benefits are given for up to the first two children, in which the benefit of the second child will be given only if it is a daughter. In this scheme, the first installment of Rs 3,000 is given on getting the pregnancy registered within six months from the date of LMP and completing at least one prenatal checkup.
The second installment of Rs 2,000 is given on child birth registration and completion of the first cycle of BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis-B or equivalent vaccination. For the second child, if it is a girl, then upon fulfilling the conditions, a lump sum amount of Rs. 6,000 is deposited in the beneficiary's account.
