Derabassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar) 10 September 2025: Constituency MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa met the officials of the Drainage Department at the head office, Derabassi, after the heavy rains in the past few days, and instructed them to visit the villages near Ghaggar to repair the embankment and prepare a report on the new embankment to be built, and honored them for their excellent performance in the past few days.
Constituency MLA S. Kuljit Singh Randhawa instructed the officials of the Drainage Department to now visit the embankment after the rains along with the farmers, sarpanches, panches and respected persons of the villages adjacent to Ghaggar and start the repair work of the embankment from where the embankment has been damaged within 24 to 48 hours.
And where the new dam is going to be built, an estimate report should also be prepared, so that these details can be presented to the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Minister of the concerned department and the higher officials and the repair work of the dam can start soon. He also honored the officials who showed good performance during the rainy days.
