
Mamata Diwas celebrated in Mubarakpur village.
Nawanshahr:- Mamata Diwas was celebrated in Mubarakpur village under the guidance of Dr. Geetanjali Singh, SMOPHC Muzaffarpur of the Health Department. On this occasion, Dr. Satpreet Kaur CHO said that Mamata Diwas is celebrated every Wednesday of the week. The main objective of Mamata Diwas is to vaccinate children against deadly diseases like polio, whooping cough, tuberculosis, pneumonia, measles, rubella, mumps, hepatitis B, encephalitis, diphtheria and tetanus and to make pregnant women aware about a balanced diet.

She said that pregnant women should take full care of their unborn child and their own health and use green vegetables and fruits in their diet so that both the mother and child remain healthy and there is no blood deficiency in the body. He said that in today's era, girls are not behind boys in any field, so if any woman or person commits a crime like feticide, then according to the law, the offender can be punished and fined.
He said that eligible couples should adopt family planning methods to keep children apart and there should be a gap of at least 3 years between the first child and the second child. Newborns should be fed only mother's milk for at least 6 months. Mother's milk contains nutrients that give the child the strength to fight diseases.
On the occasion of today's Mother's Day, awareness was also created about diseases caused by rainwater, protection from flies and mosquitoes and protection from dengue.
