Una, August 14- Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania will be the chief guest at the district level Independence Day function to be held in Una on August 15. On his arrival in Una on August 14 evening, Mr. Pathania was given a grand and warm welcome.
On this occasion, MLAs Vivek Sharma and Sudarshan Bablu, former MLA Satpal Raizada, District Congress President Ranjit Rana, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, Superintendent of Police Amit Yadav along with various public representatives, dignitaries and administrative officers were present.
At the same time, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said that on August 15 at 11 am, Mr. Pathania will hoist the national flag in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School Una and will address the people of the district after taking the salute of the parade. In the function, along with the police and home guards, students of NCC, NSS and various schools will participate in the parade.
Before this, the Assembly Speaker will pay floral tribute at the Shaheed Smarak located at MC Park.
*Tableaux and cultural presentations will be the attraction*
Tableaux based on public welfare schemes will be the main attraction of the function, which include Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Government Model Day Boarding School, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Catch the Rain Abhiyan, Agriculture and Horticulture Department and DRDA schemes. Students and drama teams of schools will give colourful presentations depicting the culture and diversity of the state.
During the program, officers and employees doing excellent work in various departments will be honored. Also, special awards will be given for the best tableau, best stall and best cultural presentation.
*Stalls of healthy dishes will also be set up*
With the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, stalls of healthy dishes will be set up at the function venue on the lines of Eat Right Mela, in which government departments as well as self-help groups will also participate.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to all the citizens to participate in the function in large numbers and celebrate this national festival with collective enthusiasm and gaiety.
