Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 3: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner SAS Nagar Smt. Komal Mittal, IAS and under the leadership of Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Gurmail Singh, a training was organized at District Administrative Complex Mohali on the use of ‘Unnat Kisan Application’ developed by the government for proper management of paddy stubble.
Cluster Officers and Nodal Officers appointed to manage machinery etc. for stubble management participated in this training. Engineer Jujhar Singh of the Agriculture Department gave detailed information about the registration and use of Unnat Kisan App by farmers, machine owners, cluster officers, nodal officers and verifying officers.
On this occasion, DIO Mrs. Sarita said that a dashboard has been prepared at the district level for stubble management, through which daily information will be collected. This will include many activities including preparing bales through baler machines, using SMS through combine, storage of stubble, police patrolling and reporting of stubble fire incidents. Apart from this, if stubble fire occurs at any place, the action taken report will also be updated on the dashboard.
Agricultural Development Officers Dr. Gurdial Kumar, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Jaspreet Singh, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Agricultural Extension Officers Dr. Sukhjit Kaur, Dr. Sonia Parashar, Dr. Gurbinder Kaur besides Agriculture Sub-Inspectors and Panchayat Secretaries participated in the training.
