Aud, December: The 43rd Foundation Day of Navjot Sahitya Sanstha (Regd.) was celebrated with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, during a literary program organized in Aud, five personalities were honored with 'Navjot Award-2024'. These include famous poet Harmeet Vidyarthi (Poetry field), Dr. Kewal Ram (Research field), Co-editor Gurpreet Singh Ratan (Journalism field), Punjabi lecturer Raj Rani (Teaching field) and Kumari Simran Simi (Social field). Along with this, five founding members of the organization Satpal Sahlon, Chaman Mallpuri, Surinder Bharti, Binder Mallah Bedian, Pyare Lal Bangar were also honored.
This program was organized under the leadership of the founder of the organization, famous Ghazalgo Gurdayal Roshan. On this occasion, social worker S. Barjinder Singh Hussainpur attended as the chief guest. While doing the felicitation ceremony, he praised the activities of the organization. He congratulated the officials of the organization. The President of the organization Gurnek Sher gave the welcome address and Secretary Surjit Mazari presented the annual report. Poems, songs and ghazals were shared in the Kavi Darbar.
Inter-college-school poetry competition was organized during the foundation ceremony. Students from various educational institutions of the district participated in this competition. In this competition, Jaswinder Singh of S. Dilbagh Singh Government College Jadla, Indrapreet Kaur of Sikh National College, Prabhdeep Kaur of Amardeep Memorial College Mukandpur and Mehakpreet Kaur Khatkar of Bhai Sangat Singh Khalsa College Banga jointly won the first place in this competition. The winners of the first three positions were honored with cash prizes, certificates and mementos.
On this occasion, the treasurer of the organization, Madam Harbans Kaur Karyam, Principal Nachattar Singh Suman, Madam Rajni Sharma, Davinder Skohpuri, Neeru Jassal, Amar Jind, Harbans Kaur, Davinder Begumpuri, Resham Karnavi, Hari Kishan Patwari, Raj Sohi, Sucha Ram, Ramnath Kataria, Vinay Sharma presented their creations.
