
Under the banner of “Yadaan Bagga Diyan”, saplings were planted by the foundation on the 31st anniversary.
Patiala- Bakshish Bagga Memorial Welfare Foundation and Bagga Folk Dance Academy (related to Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Patiala) organized a free folk dance workshop dedicated to the memory of the late international folk artist Bakshish Bagga under the direction of eminent social worker and International Folk Dance Kech Chairman Bakshish Bagga Welfare Foundation, Jarnail Bagga Dhaliwal and International Giddha Coach Satvir Kaur Dhaliwal at the Academy’s office, Preet Nagar, Tripuri, Patiala,
Patiala- Bakshish Bagga Memorial Welfare Foundation and Bagga Folk Dance Academy (related to Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Patiala) organized a free folk dance workshop dedicated to the memory of the late international folk artist Bakshish Bagga under the direction of eminent social worker and International Folk Dance Kech Chairman Bakshish Bagga Welfare Foundation, Jarnail Bagga Dhaliwal and International Giddha Coach Satvir Kaur Dhaliwal at the Academy’s office, Preet Nagar, Tripuri, Patiala, for the past 31 years in the months of June and July at different places along with training workshops for the trainee boys and girls to stay away from drugs.
Eng: Rajdeep Singh said that in the 31 years of the foundation, more than 15000 students have been trained by organizing 362 folk dance training workshops and the foundation has organized 22 cultural fairs and promoted hundreds of artists.
Out of which more than 3 dozen children are giving training in folk dances by opening academies at the international level and abroad. Apart from this, in 1995, the organization installed a water cooler at the government school Tripari by organizing the first program of “Yadaan Bagge Diyan”. After that, the service of water cooler was also provided in Kasiana school and necessary materials have been provided to the needy children in dozens of schools from time to time. For the last 10 years, the foundation has been going up every year to keep the environment clean and tidy and they are also being taken care of.
Under the chairmanship of Eng. Avtar Singh Lang, this time on the 31st anniversary, fruit trees were planted from the academy office at 49-Preet Nagar, Tripuri and a target of planting 500 trees was set, which will be completed in the month of October itself. On this occasion, MC of Ward No. 9 Madam Neha Kukreja and Mr. Mohit Kukreja District President Social Media Patiala praised the work of the foundation and said that every person should plant at least 2 trees.
On this occasion, Eng. Harpal Singh, Joga Singh FCI Dilbagh Singh Bagrian FCI Manjit Singh Kharod, Kulmeet Kohli District Secretary Social Media Patiala, Madam Satvir Dhaliwal, Jarnail Bagga Dhaliwal (International Artist), State Awardee and Punjab President Teachers Union Patiala Gurpreet Singh Guri etc. were present.
