District Magistrate sets time for bursting firecrackers in view of festivals.

Nawanshahr- In view of festivals, District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has set the time for bursting firecrackers in the district and said that there will be a ban on bursting firecrackers before and after the specified time. The District Magistrate, while issuing an order in this regard, said that in addition to Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas and New Year, a time has been set for bursting firecrackers on the occasion of Gurpurab within the district.

Nawanshahr- In view of festivals, District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has set the time for bursting firecrackers in the district and said that there will be a ban on bursting firecrackers before and after the specified time. The District Magistrate, while issuing an order in this regard, said that in addition to Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas and New Year, a time has been set for bursting firecrackers on the occasion of Gurpurab within the district.
He said that on Dussehra day, firecrackers will be allowed to be burst from 06:00 pm to 07:00 pm at Dussehra grounds and places where Dussehra is celebrated. Similarly, on Diwali, the time for bursting firecrackers has been set from 08:00 pm to 10:00 pm. He said that on the night between Christmas and New Year, firecrackers will be allowed to be burst from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am.
According to the orders issued, the time for bursting firecrackers has been fixed for one hour on the occasion of Gurpurab from 04:00 am to 05:00 am and from 09:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The District Magistrate said that there will be a complete ban on bursting firecrackers before and after the said time. Similarly, Dussehra will be organized only after the approval of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate by the Dussehra committees.
The place where firecrackers are bursting at the Dussehra ground/venue will be away from a radius of 30 meters. According to the orders issued, firecrackers will not be allowed within a radius of 100 meters of silence zones such as hospitals, educational institutions, courts and religious places etc. It is noteworthy that if anyone violates these orders, appropriate action will be taken against them.
