Hoshiarpur- A cleanliness awareness program was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Dholbaha as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Under the leadership of School Incharge Subhash Sharma and under the guidance of Madam Preeti Bala, the students enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive. The program began with cleaning the school premises.
Where the students cleaned the school premises and carried forward the message of "Cleanliness is Service". After this, the students also conducted a cleanliness drive in the surrounding areas, appealing to the people to maintain a clean environment.
The school teachers told the children about the importance of cleanliness. They emphasized that cleanliness should not be limited to school or home alone; it is the duty of every citizen to maintain a clean environment around them. After the cleanliness drive, the students took out a rally in the streets of the village holding placards in their hands.
Slogans like 'Swachh Bharat - Healthy Bharat', 'Gandgi Chhedo - Safai Apnao' were raised in this rally. The students also appealed to the people to reduce the use of plastic and throw garbage at the designated place. On this occasion, School Incharge Subhash Sharma said that cleanliness is not just a one-day program, but it has to be made a part of life.
Madam Preeti Bala appreciated the active participation of the students and said that the message of awareness spreads fastest in the society through children. Apart from the above, school staff Madam Ranjit Kaur, Deepika, Sunita and students were present in this program.
