Mohali police produced journalist Rajinder Taggar in Mohali court this afternoon. During the hearing, the public prosecutor demanded Taggar's police remand to find out where the funding came from, while Mr. Taggar's lawyer opposed it. After the hearing, the honorable judge ordered Taggar to be sent to police remand for 2 days.

It is to be mentioned that Mr. Rajinder Taggar had already expressed his apprehension that the police wanted to arrest him in a false case. And regarding this, they had also filed an application in the honorable court, on which the court instructed to give 7 days notice to Taggar before arresting him. In this regard, the Mohali police had also given a one-week notice to Taggar, but later at night, the police arrested Taggar from his house. This arrest has been made by the police in a case registered against AIG Malvinder Singh Sidhu, who was dismissed in the month of March.

Mr. Satnam Singh Daun, President of Punjab Agency of Corruption, who shared this information on social media immediately after the arrest of Mr. Taggar, said that Mr. Taggar had published various reports against the Mohali Police and to implicate them. So his name is included in this matter. He said that Punjab Against Corruption will fight a legal battle for Mr. Taggar.
