Jatin Lal asked to work with an integrated approach to make the roads in the district safe, encroachment free and traffic risk-free. He instructed the concerned departments to take pre-corrective steps and ensure strict adherence to traffic rules to reduce accidents.

The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to identify accident prone places and black spots in the district and improve them. He said that for road safety, CCTV cameras and crash barriers, parapets, light reflectors and speed breakers should be installed as per requirement at accident prone places. He asked the officials to bring the report of improvement works in the next meeting.
Referring to the recent horrific oil tanker accident in Tahliwal, he also directed to install CCTV cameras, signage and speed breakers at the accident site, so that such accidents do not recur in future.
The Deputy Commissioner asked to make the roads encroachment free and remove illegal street vendors. In order to make all the important markets, squares and intersections free from obstructions including Bangana and Lathiani, instructions were given to remove illegal encroachments from the roads there.
It is mandatory for school vehicles to have conductors
Jatin Lal asked to ensure the fitness of school vehicles and compliance with traffic rules by drivers. He also directed to ensure that every school vehicle must have a conductor on standby. Take strict action against those who violate this. He asked all the SDMs to ensure this arrangement by holding a meeting with the private school operators in their area.
There should be no crowd on the road in MC and Rotary Chowk early in the morning
Taking cognizance of the gathering of a large number of migrant laborers on the road in front of MC Park and Rotary Chowk in Una every morning, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned department to make arrangements in this regard. In the early hours, people were instructed to find a place away from the road to stand there, so that a large number of people do not stand together on the road in the morning and any possibility of accident can be avoided.
