Nawanshahr: Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims Nawanshahr organized an awareness camp under “Drug-Free India Campaign” at the Government Primary School of village Mallan Sodhian. Which was presided over by Shri Gurminder Singh (Sarpanch).
On this occasion, Mr. Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the students first shared information about the history of Red Cross. After that, he said that drug addiction is now a big problem all over the world. Where young people all over the world are going towards drugs, in recent times girls are also going into the swamp of drugs.
While sharing information with the students, he said that if any kind of problem comes in your life, then you should share it with your teacher or parents. He said that under the Drug-Free India Campaign in our country, the government has opened various drug de-addiction centers, private drug de-addiction centers, so that drug addicts can be treated. We should make people aware of drugs by making our due contribution in this campaign. Therefore, if we start with ourselves and share information about the ill effects of drugs at home, then we can save the young generation from this quagmire.
Therefore, we have to start good work from our own home. Addressing the school students, he said that after school, you have to go to college for higher education, so stay away from drugs and focus on your studies. He said that every student faces problems in his life and to solve those problems, we should take guidance from our great leaders and their lives because they have faced many problems.
Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Counselor) also informed about the facilities and activities of the center and said that we should take care of our surroundings and our children so that we can avoid the evils found in the society.
