Chandigarh March 22, 2024:- The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University organized a program on “Shaheedi Diwas” on 22ndMarch 2024. In this event, our revolutionary Hero’swere remembered. The Chairperson of the department,Dr.Md Saifur Rahman, explained therole and contribution of our real Hero’s, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Shaheed Rajguru in the independence of India. We must remember and follow the steps of our freedom fighters to face the challenges and remove the evils in the society, said Dr. Rahman.  Some students Ms. Shivani, Mr. Mohit Kumar, Ms. Manjit Kaur, and Ms. Sonali Sharma highlighted the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Shaheed Rajguru and their views about the freedom of the Nation and how they inspired the youths to participate in India Independence Movement. Faculty member Mr. Nitin Raj focused on different aspects of the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh from their home to the time he was in the Central Jail by projecting some Pictures, Books, Documents,and Multimedia sources. At the end, he presented a vote of thanks to all the faculty members, scholars, and Students.
