Una March 11: The quarterly meeting of the District Council was held under the chairmanship of District Council President Neelam Kumari. Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar was also present on this occasion.
In the meeting, along with meaningful discussions on various development issues, a budget of about Rs 11 crore 92 lakh 89 thousand was proposed for the financial year 2024-25. Which will be spent as per requirement on improvement of Panchayat buildings, improvement of electricity, water, lights and other development works. The shelves of all the Panchayats of the district were approved in the meeting.
While presenting the report of the upcoming year in the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that in the proposed budget, Rs 72.49 lakh will be allocated for joint works under Zilla Parishad, Rs 50 lakh for various sponsorships, Rs 30 lakh for education programmes, Rs 20 lakh for renovation of Panchayat buildings, An amount of Rs 50 lakh will be spent under MNREGA while an amount of Rs 26.47 lakh will remain as reserve fund. He instructed the officers to provide detailed information to the District Council about the various public welfare schemes being implemented through the concerned department so that people can get their benefits.
Zip Vice President Krishnapal, District Panchayat Officer Neelam Kumari, all the members of the District Council, all the development block officers of the district and officers and employees of other departments were present in the meeting.
