SAS Nagar, March 9 - Punjab State Pensioners' Mahasangh District President Dr. NK Kalsi has said that the Aam Aadmi Party government has once again failed the pensioners and employees while presenting its third budget on March 5.

In a statement issued here, he said that the employees and pensioners are expected to get something based on the report of the Pay Commission after a long period of 10 years. But the Pay Commission report applicable from 1-1-2016 after 1-1-2006 has not been applied to the pensioners till now. He said that after 1-1-2016, about 35000 pensioners have become dear to God in the hope of implementing this report. But the Aam Aadmi government, which claims to respect the elderly, did not respect its pensioners even while presenting its third budget. And by not accepting their constitutional demands, they have once again found themselves disappointed.

He said that on one hand the employees of the Central and State Governments across the country are getting revised pensions based on the Pay Commission report from 1-1-2016. But the Punjab Government has not revised the pensions of the pensioners who retired before 1-1-2016 on the pattern of Central Government by 2.59 factor. He said that the government has not issued a clarification regarding fixing pensions on national basis And the absurd formula of 2.4495 applicable from 1-7-2021 also the arrears of pension from 1-1-2016 to 30-6-2021 and pending installments of Dearness Allowance for 219 months till 29-2-2024 have been paid so far. has not been done In the hope of which the pensioners and family pensioners are getting dearer to God day by day While the government is presenting its deficit budget even after saving their money.

He said that the central government has also announced to give dearness allowance at the rate of 50 percent to its employees and pensioners. But only 38 percent dearness allowance is being given to employees and pensioners of Punjab. It has been demanded from the Chief Minister of Punjab to respect these pensioners and pay their dues during their lifetime by revising their pensions as per the recommendations of the Pay Commission.
