Hoshiarpur- Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal is the leader of the people and this fact has emerged today in flood-hit Punjab when Sukhbir Badal is helping the affected people at the grassroots level and on the other hand, the leaders of other political parties are limited to photo sessions only, this was revealed by Akali Dal District President Urban Jatinder Singh Lali Bajwa during a meeting with party workers and leaders at his residence.
He said that till now Sukhbir Badal has provided financial assistance of more than one crore rupees and more than one lakh liters of diesel to the affected people so that the efforts should continue to limit the scope of this natural disaster as much as possible.
Lali Bajwa said that the work that the state government has to do during any natural calamity is currently being done by Sukhbir Singh Badal who is reaching the flood affected villages as well as the embankments where the people need the resources that Sukhbir Badal is making available. He said that while Sukhbir Badal has provided financial help to the people, so far 150 trolleys of green fodder have been sent to different places for the care of livestock and an order for 500 more trolleys has been given by Sukhbir Badal in different states.
Lali Bajwa said that on the lines of Sukhbir Badal, the entire team of the Akali Dal is helping the people by reaching different flood affected places and this help will continue till the people's fields are made cultivable again. Lali Bajwa said that the people of Punjab are talking about Sukhbir Badal's spirit of service everywhere and this discussion is going on everywhere that a leader who can help people so much while being outside the government, what will he not do while being in the government. He said that soon the party unit of Hoshiarpur will also reach out to the flood affected people and provide all possible help.
