Una, March 5 - A quarterly review meeting of various developmental works and schemes being carried out by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department was held in the district headquarters Una under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on various topics including MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Chief Minister Awas Yojana, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2.0, works to be done under the initiative of district administration and Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin.
Deputy Commissioner Una directed the officials of the Rural Development Department to ensure completion of the development works within the minimum time limit. He said that officers should take special care of cleanliness in the rural areas of the district. And prepare a detailed plan for solid waste management in the entire district Una. So that the system of door-to-door garbage collection can be established in the rural areas of the entire district.
He said that in order to free the youth in rural areas from the addiction of drugs and excessive use of mobile phones, there is a need to provide them opportunities for sports activities. Therefore, all officers should give special emphasis on the development of sports grounds and sports activities in rural areas so that the young generation can be connected to sports activities.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that under MNREGA, 1142009 working days have been generated in Una district till February 2024, which is 110 percent of the target given. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Plus (Rural), a target was set to construct 113 houses in the district during the financial year 2021-22, out of which 111 have been completed. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Plus (Rural), a target of allotment of 517 houses was set for the damage caused to people's houses due to natural disaster during the financial year 2023-24 and all 517 houses have been approved.
Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, 26 works have been approved for Gram Panchayat Chatara of Una development block. Out of which 12 works have been completed while 11 works are in progress.
Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, a target was set to allocate an amount of Rs 19 crore to 1440 self-help groups of Una district, out of which Rs 14 crore 98 lakh has been allocated to 656 self-help groups.
Under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, all 75 houses have been sanctioned in the financial year 2022-23 and all 23 houses in the financial year 2023-24. Under the Chief Minister Lok Bhawan Yojana, 9 public buildings have been approved in the district, out of which work on 8 has been started. In the meeting, apart from the work being done under the District Plan, the activities being organized under the District Disaster Management Authority in the district were also discussed in detail and the Deputy Commissioner Una gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officers in this regard.
In the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar, District Panchayat Officer Neelam Katoch, Block Development Officer Bangana Subhash Atari, Block Development Officer Una KL Verma, Block Development Officer Haroli Virendra Kaushal, Block Development Officer Amb Ompal Dogra, Block Development Officer Gagret Tavinder Chinauria, LDM Una along with GC Bhatti and other officers and employees of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department were present.
