Balachore/Rahon - Programs were organized in Balachore and Rahon blocks of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under the Development Bharat Sankalp Yatra (Urban). During these programs, people were made aware about the various schemes of the Government of India. The concept of developed India was also adopted by the people present on the occasion.
On this occasion, a team of doctors from Postal Department, Bank, PGI set up booths at the program venue and check-up of the needy was also done. On this occasion, the employees of the corporation office made the people aware about the plans of the government. On this occasion, FCI officer Sehban was also present on the spot. This trip along with the awareness van is going on in all the districts of Punjab including Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Through this, awareness is being created about the various flagship schemes of the Central Government and efforts are being made to connect the eligible beneficiaries with these schemes on the spot. A Sankalp Yatra van with LED screens was also present at the event venue, in which awareness materials in the form of recorded speeches of the Prime Minister, stories of beneficiaries, pamphlets, calendars were kept to show the overall progress of the country. Devant Bharat Sankpal Yatra is the most comprehensive initiative of the Government of India so far. Through this journey based on multi-faceted development vision, continuous efforts have been made to ensure that the benefits of government schemes are 100% realized in every corner of the country. The trip is an important step towards achieving this objective by creating a wider reach as well as disseminating information and empowering citizens to become active stakeholders in the country's development.
