
Workshop conducted on HIV-AIDS Prevention and Control Act
Patiala, January 9 - Under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur and Medical Superintendent Dr. Jagpalinder Singh, a workshop on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Act 2017 was conducted in the conference hall of Mata Kushalya Hospital in collaboration with ART Center Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
Patiala, January 9 - Under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur and Medical Superintendent Dr. Jagpalinder Singh, a workshop on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Act 2017 was conducted in the conference hall of Mata Kushalya Hospital in collaboration with ART Center Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
Advocate Bipan Sharma gave detailed information to all the senior medical officers of the district about the guidelines under the Act to protect the rights of people affected by HIV and living with them. On this occasion, Deputy Director Dr. Harinderbir Kaur and Assistant Director Purnima from the Punjab State AIDS Control Society said that the Health Department has informed all the senior medical officers of the HIV/AIDS Control and Control Act 2017 to protect the rights of people affected by HIV. Subordinate Grievance Officer has been appointed So that the complaints of people affected by HIV can be resolved without any discrimination And also he said that civil surgeon Patiala has been appointed as ombudsman for five districts of Punjab state, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and Ludhiana.
On this occasion, District AIDS Control Officer Dr. Gurpreet Nagra, Medical Officer ART Center Rajindra Hospital Dr. Krishan Singh, Nitin Chandla and Dr. Amandeep Kaur from Disha Cluster and Deputy Mass Media Officer Bhag Singh were present.
