Hoshiarpur- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today inaugurated works done at a cost of about Rs 12 lakh in two schools of Hoshiarpur Assembly constituency and said that the Punjab Government has created a new environment of education for teachers and students by equipping the government schools of the state with state-of-the-art facilities.

The MLA today inaugurated the boundary wall work, newly constructed classrooms and other development works in Government Primary School Chak Sadhu and Government Primary School Fatehgarh. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government has given full priority to the education sector.
He said that the education model of Punjab will also become an example for other states. He said that the Punjab Government has increased the education budget by 12 percent, which will further accelerate the pace of overall development of schools. MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab Government is bringing major reforms in the education sector and providing every modern facility to the students.
He said that at present, due to the establishment of better infrastructure, there has been a record increase in the level of government schools. He said that due to the special attention given by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on the education sector, a provision of about Rs 18,000 crore has been made in the budget, which will further strengthen the all-round development of government schools.
On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Councilor Balwinder Bindi, Councilor Jatinder Kaur Pinky, District Education Officer Lalita Arora, Rakesh Kumar, Principal Trilochan Singh, Amarjit Singh, Chander Prakash Saini, BNO Jagtar Singh, Santosh Saini, Kanchan Deol, Chandan Lucky, Gurmel Singh, Pritpal, Amarjot, besides village panchayats were also present.
