Una, December 10 - Along with education, students should participate as much as possible in sports and other activities so that in the future, after completing their studies, they can improve in whatever field they choose as a career and become good citizens of the country. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur expressed these views while addressing the students, parents and local people present at the annual prize distribution ceremony organized at Vashishtha Public School, Bahadala.

He said that apart from education, values, skills and fitness have utmost importance in life and for this, apart from the school, teachers and parents also play an important role.
He said that Vashishtha Public School is playing an important role in the all-round development of children along with education and the students educated from here are today serving the country in many parts of the country. In the ceremony, the Union Minister gave awards to the students who performed well in education and sports.
Chairman of Vashishtha Public School, Satpal Vashishtha welcomed the chief guest and the guests and gave information about the contribution of the school in the field of education. A colorful cultural program was presented by local school children at the function.

The Union Minister awarded gold medal to 11 children of the school and silver medal to 5 children for their excellent performance in the field of education.

Anurag Singh Thakur said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has set a target of making India a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047, with an eye on the development of a developed India by the country's famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Jharkhand on 15 November 2023. Sankalp Yatra has been started. He said that this Yatra will continue till January 26 and by visiting different places in different states of the country, it will not only make people aware about the schemes being run in the public interest of the Central Government but will also educate the eligible people of the scheme. Beneficiaries will also be registered during this period.
