SAS Nagar, December 5 - Police have arrested a man named Ravit Kapoor, who drove his expensive car with a shot bomb on Airprot Road yesterday. The police produced this person in the court and remanded him for two days.

DSP City 2 S. Harsimran Singh Bal said that on December 2, the police received a complaint that a person was going from Suhana to Airport Road by placing a shot bomb on the floor of his car number UK 07 DN 5000. Due to which a major accident can happen. He said that this person had fitted a box of shot bombs on the back of his expensive car from which bombs and fireworks were constantly going off and due to this there could be danger to other people.

He said that the police had registered a case against this person under section 336, 283 of the IPC and started investigating the matter, after which this person was identified and arrested. He said that this person has been identified as Ravit Kapoor, a resident of Desumajra, a resident of Homeland Sector 70.

He said that on the day of the incident, a person riding a scooty complained to the police that the spark of the bomb that was being driven by this person had caught fire due to falling on his clothes, after which a case was registered against this person. Sections 308 and 188 of the IPC have been added in the case. He said that this person has been produced in the court and remanded for two days.

He said that the police is adopting a policy of zero tolerance against anti-social elements and strict action is being taken against such persons who pose a threat to other persons with their actions.
