Garhshankar 04 December - Under the leadership of Forest Employees Union Punjab State President Virsa Singh Chahal, State President Amrik Singh Garhshankar, State General Secretary Jasvir Singh Sira, Finance Secretary Shiv Kumar Ropar, a meeting was held through Google Meet regarding the demands of the employees. In the organization's meeting with Honorable Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema ji at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh on 22nd November, State President Amrik Singh ji Garshankar agreed to many demands and assured to resolve these demands soon. In previous meetings with the organization also, the minister had agreed to the demands, but these were not implemented. To implement these demands, it was decided to hold a rally in Forest Minister's constituency Bhoa on 9th December with the consent of all the colleagues of Punjab.
Provincial leaders of the organization Jaswinder Sauja, Jaswinder Bathinda, Ranjit Singh Gurdaspur, Amandeep Mohali, Malkit Muktsar said that the organization has demanded removal of educational qualification for forest department employees, retirement of rank and file between 58 and 60 years, before 2004. For 10 consecutive years, there has been a demand to implement old pension to the personnel working in the department and the personnel registered in the senior list of the department for 1 to 5 years are being removed from work. To get these demands resolved, the comrades of Forest Employees Union District Sangrur held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Jaswinder Gaga, Satnam Sangatiwala, in which a large scale participation was organized in Bhoa, the constituency of Forest Minister Shri Lal Chand Kataruchakji.
