District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal using the powers conferred under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974) has banned the operation/flying of drone camera on 24 October 2023 around Dussehra Ground Hoshiarpur.
It is stated in the issued orders that SSP Hoshiarpur has requested through a letter that the Dussehra festival is to be celebrated with great pomp in district Hoshiarpur on October 24, in which Chief Minister Punjab is specially participating. . Meanwhile, there is a large gathering of people during Dussehra celebrated in the city. Many people from Himachal Pradesh and nearby districts come to witness this Dussehra. Therefore, to ensure safety, orders should be issued to ban the operation of drone cameras without permission by private organizations in district Hoshiarpur.
