ADC Anmol Dhaliwal Conducts Surprise Visit to Flood-Prone Areas of Derabassi and preparedness of Municipal Council

Derabassi (SAS Nagar), September 04: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal today conducted a surprise visit to flood-prone low-lying areas of Derabassi, including Gulmohar Extension, ATS Meadows, Krishna Enclave, and Gulmohar Society.

Derabassi (SAS Nagar), September 04: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal today conducted a surprise visit to flood-prone low-lying areas of Derabassi, including Gulmohar Extension, ATS Meadows, Krishna Enclave, and Gulmohar Society.
During the visit, the ADC reviewed the preparedness of the Municipal Council, Derabassi, and directed officials to keep all necessary measures, machinery, and manpower ready for emergency water drainage and resident rescue operations.
He assured residents that the district administration, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, is fully prepared to take prompt action in case of any flood-related exigency. The visit was aimed at taking stock of emergency preparedness and building confidence among the local population.
He also instructed Executive Officer Ravneet Singh to ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of the city’s roads, sewer lines, and drains related to rainwater drainage.
EO Ravneet Singh apprised the Additional Deputy Commissioner that the Municipal Council has already identified flood-prone areas and low-lying localities, and appropriate teams have been constituted accordingly. In addition, necessary machinery has also been arranged for emergency response.
