Chandigarh, September 24 - Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar today visited various commercial establishments in Charkhi Dadri city and discussed with the traders about the new GST rates. He also spoke to the customers and congratulated them on the reduction in prices with the new GST rates.
Earlier, Minister Shri Krishan Lal Panwar while talking to the media said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a historic decision has been taken by reducing the GST rates. The poor and middle class of the country will benefit the most from this. With this change, on the one hand, while the prices of daily necessities have come down, on the other hand, the prices of small items and vehicles have also come down. People who had booked vehicles are now getting the same vehicles at a lower price. For this, people have thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
He said that under the new system, by simplifying the GST slabs, now some goods have been brought into the 0 percent category, that is, they will be completely tax-free. Apart from this, two main GST slabs have been made, 5 percent and 18 percent. The earlier 12 percent and 28 percent slabs have been completely abolished.
He said that many daily use goods and services have been completely exempted from GST. This includes Indian brands like Vidh, Roti-Paratha, personal life and health insurance policies, primary stationery, note books, maps. charts and life-saving medicines. Now consumers will not have to pay any tax on these goods.
