
ITI officers who did excellent work in the successful implementation of Prime Minister 's Internship Scheme were felicitated on Independence Day ?
Chandigarh , August 15 - In the ceremonies organized in the districts on the occasion of 79th Independence Day in Haryana, 18 officers of 13 government ITIs were honored by the chief guests for their excellent efforts in the successful implementation of the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme .

Giving information, the government spokesperson said that the objective of the PMIS scheme announced in the Union Budget 2024-25 is to provide 12-month internship opportunities to one crore youth in five years in the top 500 companies of the country . Those youths between the age of 21 to 24 years, who have passed high school , higher secondary , ITI certificate , diploma holder from polytechnic institute or BA , BSc , BCom , BCA , BBA , B. Pharma etc. degree holder candidates are eligible for this scheme . Under the scheme, a monthly stipend of Rs. 5000 and a lump sum grant of Rs. 6,000 are given .
He said that the first pilot phase of this was started by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in October 2024, which was completed in December 2024. The second pilot phase is ongoing from February 2025. So far, more than 450 youth of Haryana have started internships in various companies . Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Department has been nominated as the nodal department for the implementation of this scheme .
The spokesperson said that 18 officers from 13 government departments have been appointed to motivate the officers and employees working for the promotion and implementation of this scheme . ITI institutions that have made notable contributions in motivating and encouraging candidates to avail the benefits of PMIS scheme have been honored by the chief guest in their respective districts on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations on 15th August .
Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, while congratulating these 18 officers, said that officers and employees who have made outstanding contributions in the promotion and effective implementation of government schemes will be honored in the future as well .
