Director of Food and Civil Supplies Department inspected flour mills and wholesale warehouses in Una, laid special emphasis on the quality of food grains.

Una, August 1- Director of Himachal Pradesh Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Ram Kumar Gautam, today (Friday) made a one-day visit to Una district. During this, he inspected the flour mills operating in the district and the wholesale warehouses of Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation and also did sampling to check the quality of food grains.

During this, he inspected the flour mills operating in the district and the wholesale warehouses of Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation and also did sampling to check the quality of food grains.

Surprise inspection of flour mills-
The Director made a surprise visit to M/s HSD Flour Mill, Dhusara. He reviewed all the facilities and operational system available in the mill and expressed satisfaction. He directed the officers and inspectors to be strict towards the quality of food grains. He also directed that special vigilance should be taken during the rainy season so that quality wheat flour can be made available to the consumers.

Inspection of wholesale warehouse Jalangra-
Shri Gautam also inspected the wholesale warehouse Jalangra of Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited. He instructed the officers and employees to ensure proper maintenance of food grains and to avoid any kind of negligence.

Instructions to prepare a proposal to increase storage capacity-
He said that government procurement of paddy and wheat is done in Una district, in such a situation, a proposal for construction of big warehouses should be prepared and sent soon to strengthen the storage capacity, so that safe and systematic storage of food grains can be ensured.
