Nawanshahr- As per the directions of National Legal Services Authority and under the orders received from Honorable Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and under the directions of Honorable District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Smt. Priya Sood, under the leadership of Civil Judge (Senior Division)/ CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Amandeep, an Aadhaar registration camp was organized at village Saroya on 01.08.2025 for making Aadhaar cards of destitute children. Employees of Aadhaar Suvidha Center were present on this occasion.
On this occasion, Civil Judge (Senior Division)/ CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Amandeep Ji informed that as per the directions of National Legal Services Authority and under the orders received from Honorable Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar Ji, a campaign has been launched under the Saathi Campaign Document "Survey and Tracking for Aadhaar and Access to Full Participation".
Under which a District Saathi Committee was formed by District Legal Services Authority. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. A survey was conducted in the district by the para-legal volunteers of this committee to identify the helpless children without Aadhaar card under the Saathi Campaign Document and under this campaign, helpless children were identified.
Apart from this, he said that the aim of this national campaign is to identify helpless children across the country and ensure that no helpless child is deprived of Aadhaar registration, legal aid, and linking them with welfare schemes. DLSA staff, members of the Sahitya Committee, Suvidha Center employees, panel advocates, para-legal volunteers, and school staff were present on the occasion.
