Chairman Shri Malkit Singh Thind said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann It has launched numerous schemes to raise the standard of living of people belonging to backward classes. More awareness is being created at the departmental level to make people aware about these schemes. Organizing camps is the need of the hour. He said that laxity in giving due benefits of welfare schemes to backward classes will not be tolerated. Will not be done.
He said that public awareness should be created for welfare schemes related to backward classes and if necessary, And special camps should also be taken. He said that even in the caste certificates issued to backward classes, people do not have any Difficulties should not be allowed.

Chairman Shri Malkit Singh assured Thind that the district administration will ensure welfare related to backward classes. There will be no problem of any kind regarding schemes and certificates.
On this occasion, Chairman Thind highlighted the financial resources given to voluntary groups by the Rural Development and Panchayat Department. Assistance, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Cooperation, Social Justice and Empowerment, Education, Social Vacancies from departments like Security, District Program Officer, BC Corporation, Labour, Agriculture etc. Took stock of the progress of the schemes being run for various categories and within the last one year Reviewed the facilities provided. He particularly took note of the fact that some departments had Words are used which are not acceptable. He said that in future these reports should be based on complete facts otherwise the concerned A letter will be written to the government for action against the department.
He informed the Center and State about the beneficiaries of different age groups including children, women, elderly etc. A detailed review was also done about the benefits being given at the departmental level under the government schemes and Clear instructions were given that united efforts should be made to give the backward classes their due rights.
During the meeting, District Social Justice and Official Officer Ashish Kathuria, District Social Security Officer Amrit Bala, District Program Officer Nikhil Arora and officials of other departments were present.
