A boon for the residents of Mohali district: Mukhyamantri Yogashala is proving its utility.

Kharar, July 18, 2025: SDM, Kharar Divya P informed that thousands of residents are taking advantage of Mukhyamantri Yogashala every day by participating in the daily yoga sessions being organized at various places in S.A. Nagar district. She said that yoga practice is proving to be a boon for the health of the people.

Nagar district. She said that yoga practice is proving to be a boon for the health of the people.
Where earlier people had to go to the hospital for their minor health problems, now people are getting relief from many health problems through yoga practice. She said that the Punjab Government has started yoga to keep people healthy in view of the changing lifestyle. Training of healthy lifestyle is being given through training.
Yoga instructor Tania Samant informed that she conducts 6 yoga classes daily. His first class is held at Pindchha Mazra from 4.55 am to 5.55 am, second class is held at Gym Park Classia, 6.00 am to 7.00 am at Omaxe, Phase-3, New Chandigarh, third class is held at Mango Tree Park, Eco City-1 from 8.30 am to 9.30 am at Sector-6, Block-A, New Chandigarh, fourth class is held at Park No. 1, Block-A, Eco City-1, New Chandigarh from 3.50 pm to 4.50 pm, class five is held at Peepal Park, Block-A, Eco City-1, New Chandigarh from 4.55 pm to 5.55 pm, sixth class is held at Sector-5, Block-A, Eco City-1, New Chandigarh from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Where sessions are being held daily. He said that to live a healthy life in yoga-asana, by doing daily exercise, the physical condition of the human body can be improved. It has the magical power to restore health. Those district residents are encouraged to attend these yoga sessions to derive maximum health benefits.
Yoga instructor Tania Sammat, who is conducting the sessions in New Chandigarh, said that currently around 218 participants are attending the yoga classes. She said the city residents are voluntarily attending these sessions. She said, “SADE also has a website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in and a dedicated helpline number 76694-00500 on which those who have not yet joined can contact and get themselves registered.
Tania further said that any area with a minimum of 25 participants can call/message on the WhatsApp number to start their new class/session. There is no charge for the yoga classes.
