
CGC Jhanjeri organised Anti-Narcotics Cyclothon 2025.
SAS Nagar, July 5 – Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali in partnership with Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh Zonal Unit organised Anti-Narcotics Cyclothon 2025 on the occasion of International Anti-Drug Day.
SAS Nagar, July 5 – Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali in partnership with Narcotics Control Bureau, Chandigarh Zonal Unit organised Anti-Narcotics Cyclothon 2025 on the occasion of International Anti-Drug Day.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Chief Guest Sambit Mishra (Director, NCB Zonal Headquarters, Mohali). During his address, Mr Mishra emphasised on the need for a drug-free India and joint efforts of the entire society for the same.
Amanjit Singh, IRS, Additional Director, NCB, Chandigarh, Sunil Kumar, Indian Handball Coach and former AIU player, Suresh Kumar, former Pro Kabaddi League player, Amandeep Singh, Steel Man of India and MMA fighter Mandeep Kaushik, District Sports Officer were among the special guests on the occasion. More than 300 cyclists participated in the rally.
The rally started from Sector 66, Mohali in the morning and went up to CGC Jhanjeri. Hydration and security check points were also set up en route. At the end of the rally, top performers of male and female categories were felicitated in a felicitation ceremony held at CGC Jhanjeri and e-certificates were given to all the participants.
On this occasion, Arsh Dhaliwal, MD, CGC Jhanjeri said that it is our moral responsibility to make the youth aware about the harmful effects of drug abuse. This cyclothon was not just an event but a symbol of our collective commitment to build a drug-free society.
