
Deputy Commissioner inspected the building of Abada Barana School damaged by rain.
Una, 25th August- Amidst the heavy rains in Una district, the district administration is continuously inspecting the affected areas and is engaged in taking prompt steps to ensure the safety of the people. In this episode, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited Government Primary School Abada Barana on Monday and inspected the damaged building and took stock of the situation.
Una, 25th August- Amidst the heavy rains in Una district, the district administration is continuously inspecting the affected areas and is engaged in taking prompt steps to ensure the safety of the people. In this episode, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal visited Government Primary School Abada Barana on Monday and inspected the damaged building and took stock of the situation.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the waterlogging in the nearby residential areas and interacted with the local residents to know their problems and directed the concerned departments for immediate solution.
During this, former MLA of Una Assembly constituency Satpal Singh Raizada and Tehsildar Una were also present with him.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the school building has been declared unsafe. Keeping in mind the safety of the children, instructions have been issued to keep the Government Primary School Abada Barana closed till August 28 or till further orders. He said that the school building will not be used till the repair and necessary action is completed and alternative arrangements will be ensured so that the children's studies are not disrupted.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected families. He directed the concerned departments to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work and solve the problems of the people on priority.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the public not to go near the rivers and drains, not to pay attention to rumors and follow the guidelines issued by the administration.
