Hoshiarpur- SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, who reached the spot of the incident, said that today, two motorcycle riders had an encounter with the police party at a chow near village Badian Kalan in Hoshiarpur district, in which one of them was shot in the leg below the knee, who was sent to the civil hospital for treatment, while the other has been arrested by the police party.**
The SSP said that an incident had recently taken place at a money changer shop in village Bham of Hoshiarpur district, in which different police teams are investigating in depth on different aspects. They got information that the accused involved in the incident in village Bham can be found in this area.
On which the police took immediate action and stopped the two motorcycle riders at a chow near village Badian Kalan. They opened fire on the police party. In retaliation, the police fired in the air and the accused fired again at the police. The police fired 5 bullets and the accused fired 4 bullets. During this, one bullet of the police hit the accused in the leg and below the knee.
The police sent him to the Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur for treatment. The second accused was arrested. The injured accused has been identified as Daljit Singh alias Dali, against whom 14 cases have already been registered under various sections. 9 cases have already been registered against the second accused Jaswinder Singh. Both of them are involved in the incident in village Bham. The police have already arrested their three accomplices Hardeep, Jaswinder and Harpreet.
Further interrogation of the arrested accused is being conducted. SP Dr. Mukesh Kumar, DSP Palwinder Singh Chabbewal, Inspector Gurpreet Singh in-charge CIA Hoshiarpur, Police Station in-charge Chabbewal Sub-Inspector Harish Kumar and other police personnel were present at the spot.
