
District level yoga function organized at Pekhubela on International Yoga Day.
Una, June 21- A grand district level yoga day function was organized in the premises of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pekhubela today (Saturday) on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Based on the theme “Yoga for one earth, one health”, this program was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal. This program was organized by the AYUSH Department.

Based on the theme “Yoga for one earth, one health”, this program was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal. This program was organized by the AYUSH Department.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that yoga is not just physical exercise, but a balanced and positive art of living. He said that in this era of chaotic lifestyle, improper eating habits and mental stress, yoga emerges as a guiding force. He said that the body is the most sacred temple, keeping it healthy is the biggest task.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the youth to stay away from destructive tendencies like addiction and take out one hour every day for yoga, pranayama and exercise. He said that only those are happy in the world who have health. Therefore, adopt yoga in life and stay healthy.
District Ayurveda Officer Dr. Kiran Sharma said that the objective of the program is to increase awareness about yoga among the general public and to move towards a healthy society by making it a part of daily life.
Dr. Itishree of the AYUSH department made all the people present practice various yogasanas, pranayama and subtle exercises.
On this occasion, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Pekhubela Principal Raj Singh, district administration officials, teachers, students, voluntary organizations and a large number of local citizens were present.
