S.A.S. Nagar, June 13- Balongi Police has arrested four persons involved in robbery and theft. Police arrested these persons during the operation being conducted to nab anti-social elements, robbers and thieves, under the leadership of SHO Amandeep Singh Kamboj, Police Station Balongi.
According to the information, on the basis of secret information, police arrested Gurpreet Singh alias Lucky, resident of Rehmat Enclave, Barmajra; Vikas Kumar alias Gola, resident near Ganda Nala, Barmajra; Akshay Kumar, resident of Rajiv Colony, Barmajra; and Karan Kumar, resident of Barmajra Colony. One stolen motorcycle, four smartphones and two sharp knives were recovered from their possession.
The accused were produced before the Hon'ble Court and police remand was obtained. Based on their interrogation, seven other phones were recovered. The police have registered a case against them under sections 303(2), 304(2), and 3(5) of the BNS Act. The police have obtained their remand and they are being questioned.
