Patiala- As per the instructions of Dr. Balvir Singh, Health Minister Punjab, Deputy Commissioner and District Education Officer Secondary Patiala, by providing information to students about cholera, rabies, electric current, heart attacks, fainting, kidnapping, drug crimes and help line numbers, we can make children the guardians of themselves and their families in the future.
This idea was given by the Principal of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Smart Multipurpose School Patiala, Mrs. Vijay Kapoor, who said that to fulfill this objective, only Kaka Ram Verma, retired training supervisor of the Red Cross Society at the schools and ASI Ram Saran of the Punjab Police Traffic Education Cell, made more than 300 children aware at the junior wing.
Kaka Ram Verma said that Dr. Balbir Singh Ji, the Health Minister, has encouraged him to make more and more students, teachers and the public aware about the related topics because due to negligence, carelessness, ignorance, children, minors and youth are falling prey to drugs, crimes, accidents, kidnapping, and diseases.
He said that if any animal like dog, cat, monkey, monkey, wild animals, cow, buffalo, horse, bat, etc. bites, licks or if the saliva from their mouth gets on the skin of a human, within a few days, the victims can get rabies. There is no cure for rabies. Therefore, our animals should be vaccinated against rabies every year, the wounds of the victims should be cleaned with soap and water 10 times, do not bandage, do not apply chillies, immediately get tetanus injection and go to government hospitals and get treatment as per the advice of expert doctors. Children should be told ways to avoid kidnapping. Mrs. Meenakshi Dang, other teachers thanked Principal Madam Kapoor ji and Kaka Ram Verma that even after retirement, they are making commendable efforts free of cost to awaken and save children and youth as a humanitarian.
