No fuel policy: Fuel ban on older vehicles lifted, to be implemented in five districts of NCR from November 1.

On which the Delhi government took a U-turn and stopped the campaign to seize old vehicles. The government wrote a letter to CAQM citing technical challenges and complex systems so that the fuel ban on old vehicles can be lifted.
What was in the letter?
Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote a letter to CAQM requesting it to reconsider the order to seize old vehicles. The letter said that there are technical flaws in the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. It is also not applicable in the entire NCR. In such a situation, it is hasty to implement the fuel ban order.
