Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Gurmail Singh in the presence of Agriculture Minister Punjab Sardar Gurmeet Singh Khudiya started the distribution of Pusa Bio Decomposer to the farmers of the district to digest the paddy straw in the fields. These decomposers are being provided to farmers free of charge by the Department of Agriculture.
He said that more and more farmers should use it, with which the paddy straw is digested very quickly and becomes fertilizer and the fertility of the soil increases. Technical experts of Agriculture Department Shubkaran Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Ajay Sharma informed about its method That this packet of 750 grams should be mixed with 200 liters of water and sprayed in a field and then with a rotavator or disc harrow the straw should be mixed in the field and lightly irrigated. The next crop can be sown after 15-20 days.
 The department has posted the list of in-situ and ex-situ machines available in the villages in cooperative societies and public places, which will make it easier for the needy farmers to get the machines for use.
