Jammu, April 25 - Amid rising tension over the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistan violated ceasefire at several places along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours of Friday. According to reliable sources, Pakistan used small arms to target Indian posts on this side of the border.
According to initial information, ceasefire violations have also been reported in Rajouri and Poonch sectors. Intelligence sources said, "Pakistan resorted to small arms firing at some places along the LoC. This provocation by Pakistan was befittingly retaliated. No casualties were reported on our side during this incident." Tensions are rising between India and Pakistan after the horrific attack by terrorists on a tourist resort in Pahalgam.
Two policemen injured in encounter in Bandipora
Srinagar: A militant operative was killed and two security personnel were injured in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district on Friday. Officials said that security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kulnar Bajipora of Bandipora district after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area. They said that the search operation turned into an encounter after militants hiding at a place opened fire on the security forces. During this, two police personnel were injured in the firing by the militants. More details are awaited in this regard.
