Kurukshetra, March 22 - Chaos broke out during the 1000 Kundiya Yagya event being organized at Keshav Park in Kurukshetra. The personal security personnel of Swami Hari Om Das, the organizer of the Yagya program, are accused of shooting three people. Three people injured by bullets have been admitted to the hospital, one of whom is said to be in critical condition.
According to information, some youths who came to attend the Mahayagya complained about being served stale food, after which a dispute broke out. During the dispute, the security guard of Hari Om Das, the organizer of the Mahayagya, opened fire, in which three youths were injured.
A youth named Ashish Tiwari was admitted to Loknayak Jayaprakash Civil Hospital in critical condition. Angry over the incident, people from a particular caste blocked the Kurukshetra-Kaithal road outside the Mahayagma venue and pelted stones.
Seeing the increasing number of protesters, the police showed restraint and tried to remove the jam. Currently, a heavy police force is deployed at the spot and the situation has been brought under control. However, the atmosphere is still tense. The police have appealed to the people to maintain peace and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
This Mahayagma started on March 18 and was to continue till March 27. For this, 1008 Kundiya Yagmasalas were constructed. 1,00,000 offerings were being offered every day in this Mahayagma. The main conspirator of this incident is Hari Om Das, who is known as Yagma Samrat. Till now, he has organized 101 Mahayagma in 24 states across the country. His resolution is to conduct 108 Mahayaggas across India. The Mahayagga that began in Kurukshetra on March 18 is the 102nd such event. Many big leaders like BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli, Chief Minister's wife Suman Saini and former Minister of State Subhash Sudha have participated in this Mahayagga.
