Patiala March 23:- Today, grade four, nursing and technical employees led by Swaran Singh Banga, Karamjit Kaur Aulakh and Rajesh Kumar Golu first held a rally in front of the Medical Superintendent Rajindra Hospital office regarding non-payment of salaries for the month of March and their long-pending demands.
Upon which Medical Superintendent Dr. Girish Sahni informed the employee leaders about the situation. After that, the rally reached the Director Principal office to get information about the salaries of the medical college employees. Director Principal Dr. Rajan Singla also called the employee leaders for a discussion. At the beginning, the Principal used harsh words towards the nursing leader Karamjit Aulakh on some other issue, on which the leaders boycotted the meeting. In the meantime, when the office asked for two more days to release the salaries, the matter became heated.
Within a short time, hundreds of employees gathered and a strong demonstration started. The police administration and the medical college administration were forced to take action. In about two hours, the salaries of the employees started coming into the accounts, but the employees refused to give up their salaries and apologized for the behavior of the Director Principal. Finally, at around 3 pm, the Principal Director said that his intention was not to cause pain to anyone.
