Dr Bansal said that this is not just a scheme, but a step to give a new sky to the dreams of those writers, who work as a mirror for the society day and night. Now their children will also be able to fly their dreams by studying in the prestigious institutions of the country like IIT, IIM, AIIMS, NLU, and Central Universities, that too without any financial burden.
Dr Bansal told that while implementing this scheme, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that journalists are the sentinels of democracy. They act as a bridge between society and government through information. It is our moral duty to empower their families socially and educationally.
Dr Bansal told that for now this benefit will be available only to the children of accredited (recognized by the government) journalists of Rajasthan, this benefit will be given to the students studying in national level higher education institutions, financial assistance will be given for tuition fees, hostel fees, books and educational material.
Dr Bansal said that Shramik Patrakar Sangh Haryana strongly demands from Chief Minister Nayab Saini that on the lines of Rajasthan, the families of journalists in Haryana should also get the benefit of free education.
