Derabassi (SAS Nagar), June 2, 2025: SSP SAS Nagar Mr. Harmandeep Hans informed that amid the ongoing drive against anti-social elements and criminals, SAS Nagar Police arrested three accused involved in several cases of two-wheeler theft and recovered six stolen motorcycles.
The three arrested accused have been identified as Shubham Singh resident of Haripur Kurha, Dera Bassi, Gurjeet Singh alias Ladi resident of Gujju Kherha, Banur and Jatinder Kumar resident of Bala Ram Colony, Mubarikpur.
Giving information, SSP Hans said that recently several two-wheeler thefts were reported at Police Station Dera Bassi. "A dedicated team of Dera Bassi Police Station analysed several CCTV footage and identified Shubham as a suspect.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by SHO Dera Bassi, Inspector Sumit Mor arrested two accused Shubham and Ladi from Mubarikpur, Dera Bassi and recovered three stolen motorcycles" said the SSP. 
While during preliminary interrogation, accused Shubham revealed the involvement of third accused Jatinder. "Based on the information, the team apprehended Jatinder and recovered three more stolen motorcycles from him," said the SSP.
The SSP further said that all three have criminal history and have been arrested in FIR No. 151, dated 29.05.2025 U/s 303 (2), 317 (2) BNS registered in PS Dera Bassi. Further investigation is underway, said the SSP.
