
Former minister threatened to kill, demanded ransom, case registered
Una, April 14 - BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh minister Virender Kanwar on Monday claimed that he received a ransom call of Rs 20-25 lakh and the unknown caller threatened that if the demand was not met, he would be kidnapped and killed. Police said that a case was registered in this matter after receiving a complaint and an investigation has been started.

According to the complaint, the caller gave his name as Dharmendra from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, but his name was showing as Irrfan Khan in the True Caller app. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh said that a team of police personnel is trying to trace the accused with the help of the cyber cell.
