Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar April 13: Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute Old Students Welfare Society (Regd.) organized the 11th Alumni Meet dedicated to the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji at Phase 3B2 Institute. On this occasion, the Principal of the Institute, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Manna, attended the function as the chief guest, while Instructors Shri Rakesh Kumar Arora and Shri Swaran Singh, Mrs. Lakhbir Kaur Superintendent, Professor Sarabjit Kaur, Mrs. Jeevan Jyoti and Professor Anil Kumar specially attended.
Principal Shri Manna, various personalities and old and new students offered their respects before the statue of Baba Saheb. During this event, various personalities shed light on the life of Dr. BR Ambedkar and inspired to follow the path shown by him.
On this occasion, during the seminar on the topic "Pay Back to Society", the old students of the institute assured all possible help for the welfare of the new students. The chief guest Mr. Manan ji shed light on the renovation work done at the institute during the last year and reiterated the resolve to complete the remaining work soon during the coming year.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Arora said that like the old students, the new students should also focus on discipline and work continuously to reach their desired goal. He said that he is very grateful to the old students of this institute who are always ready to contribute personally for the betterment of this institute.
Mr. Bhupinder Singh shed detailed light on the biography of Baba Saheb ji.
On this occasion, among others, Instructor Shri Swaran Singh, Professor Anil Kumar, Professor Sarabjit Kaur, Professor Sunil Kumar, Commandant Shri Vijay Kumar, Principal Kashmir Kaur, Advocate Gurdeep Singh and students addressed.
On this occasion, the old students of the institute who have retired from various departments were specially honored. Among them are Shri Malkit Ram, Shri Resham Singh, Shri Puja Lal, Satya Rani, Kashmir Kaur, Shri Kulwant Singh, Shri Balvir Kumar, Shri Jangir Singh, Shri Baldev Singh, Shri Naseeb Singh, Tarsem Kaur and Shri Daljit Singh etc.
Shri Harbhajan Jallowal and Ramandeep Kaur also presented their compositions and remembered Baba Saheb. The President of the Association Shri Tejinder Singh, giving details of the achievements since 2013 till now, thanked the members for their continuous financial support to do even better in the future.
