
District Magistrate issued various prohibitory orders.
Nawanshahr- District Magistrate, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Ankurjit Singh has issued various prohibitory orders in the district using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Act, 2023. Under this, through an order, he has banned stray cattle from roaming on the roads and grazing on the sides of cities / towns / roads in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.

Under this, through an order, he has banned stray cattle from roaming on the roads and grazing on the sides of cities / towns / roads in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district.
He has clarified in his order that shepherds roam in large numbers with cows / buffaloes etc. in the cities / towns and villages of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, which damage people's crops and plants planted on the roadside. Due to this there is a fear of confrontation between farmers and guards.
Apart from this, traffic gets jammed and many times vehicles / animals are damaged due to accidents. Therefore, keeping in view the need to take steps to prevent stray animals from roaming/grazing on the roads and spreading of foot and mouth disease/lumpy skin disease among animals, the above orders have been issued.
Similarly, through another order, the District Magistrate has banned any person from putting up advertisements and hoarding boards on government buildings and private buildings/national highways/link roads/trees within the limits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district without the permission of the concerned departments and owners. Both the above orders will remain in force till June 23, 2025.
