Chandigarh, April 12: BJP National Executive Member and senior leader Harjit Singh Grewal while answering a question asked by the media regarding the re-appointment of Sukhbir Singh Badal as the President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), said that Sukhbir Singh Badal had resigned from the post of President and now Sukhbir Singh Badal has been re-appointed as the President, which is a drama of Shiromani Akali Dal to fool the public.
Grewal said that Shiromani Akali Dal has a history of 100 years and ever since the Badal family has taken over the reins of Shiromani Akali Dal, Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee have suffered a lot. He advised Sukhbir Badal that Shiromani Akali Dal is a regional party and now you should work for the expansion of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Responding to the question of removal of NSA imposed on Amritpal Singh, Harjit Singh Grewal said that legal action was taken against him by the police, the hearing of which was going on in the court and now the work of removing this section is also being done under the judicial legal process and Amritpal Singh is an MP elected by the people. Amritpal Singh should follow the rules of Indian law and become the voice of the people. He called upon all Punjabis to unite to solve the problems of Punjab.
