
The sweep team conducted an awareness camp for first-time voters
Patiala, May 10 - District Sweep Team Patiala organized a special voter awareness camp at Government ITI Boy Patiala to motivate first-time voters. District Sweep Nodal Officer Dr. SS Rekhi appealed to the female students who are going to vote for the first time including student voters to celebrate June 1 as Family Social Duty Day.

District Sweep Nodal Officer Dr. SS Rekhi appealed to the female students who are going to vote for the first time including student voters to celebrate June 1 as Family Social Duty Day.
On this day all the eligible members of the family will vote for the Lok Sabha elections and those who are below 18 years of age will encourage their family and friends to vote. Students were encouraged to go door-to-door to promote voting in their locality. On this occasion, voter's oath was administered to all present. Information about ECI Apps and Vote from Home-12th form was also given by the sweep team and students were urged to spread this information around them.
On this occasion, a voter awareness rally was also conducted by ITI students at Model Town which is a low voter turnout area. ITI Sweep Nodal Officer Jagdeep Singh Joshi also motivated the students to participate in the awareness campaign for maximum turnout on June 01. Assistant Nodal Officer Mohit Consul and Avtar Singh were present on this occasion.
