Nawanshahr: An important meeting of District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar was held under the leadership of State Joint Secretary Rajwinder Lakha and District President Harjinder Singh. In which a large number of computer teachers from all districts participated. District President Harjinder Singh, while sharing information about the flag march to be held in Gidderwaha on November 16, said that under the banner of Computer Teachers Union Punjab, under the leadership of State President Gurwinder Singh Tarn Taran, a series of flag marches are being conducted against the policy of Aam Aadmi Party to avoid implementing the written promises and announcements made to the computer teachers of the Punjab Government. A large number of election rallies will be organized in Gidderwaha on November 16 to campaign among the general public.

Because according to the notification of the Honorable Governor of Punjab in July 2011, the then government had regularized the computer teachers under the Punjab Civil Services in the Picts Society formed under the Education Department. But till date this notification has not been fully implemented on the computer teachers. Before coming to power, Bhagwant Mann government's MLA, minister and supremo Arvinder Kejriwal made these promises in the organization's protest that as soon as the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Punjab, computer teachers will be merged in the education department; Aam Aadmi Party also included it as a written guarantee in its manifesto. However, on 15 September 2022, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains had announced several times in newspapers, social media and various forums of Aam Aadmi Party to give benefits to computer teachers on the occasion of Diwali, which remained only an announcement which has not been implemented practically till date. It is worth noting that even after holding more than 55 meetings with Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and the sub-committee of the Punjab government, the legitimate and pending demands of computer teachers are not being resolved. The leaders of the organization said that the Sixth Pay Commission, Dearness Allowance, ACP and other financial benefits of computer teachers have been forcibly stopped, which should be implemented immediately, while all other employees of Punjab have been given the above benefits, but computer teachers are being treated step-motherly. The condition of computer teachers is so pathetic that during the Corona period, they died of corona while on duty; forget about giving jobs to the families of the teachers, they did not help financially even one of their dependents and in different periods about 100 computer teachers said goodbye to this mortal world. Due to which their dependents are forced to take to the streets. During the demonstration, the exploitation going on for 19 years will be propagated among the people and during the rally, this aspect of the Punjab government will be exposed in front of the common people and the face of the anti-computer teacher Punjab government will be presented. If the issues of computer teachers are not resolved soon, then in the coming days, the MLAs, ministers and Chief Minister of Punjab will be opposed at every level, the entire responsibility of which will be of the Punjab government.
