SAS Nagar 26 March 2025: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sonam Chaudhary held a meeting with officials of various departments regarding rural development works of the district at the District Administrative Complex. During the meeting, the District Development and Panchayat Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer District Council, BDPOs of all blocks, Panchayat Secretaries, Mag-NREGA and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana related works were reviewed and various development works going on in the district like construction of playgrounds, cleaning of ponds and completion of survey work of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were reviewed.

During the meeting, the District Development and Panchayat Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer District Council, BDPOs of all blocks, Panchayat Secretaries, Mag-NREGA and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana related works were reviewed and various development works going on in the district like construction of playgrounds, cleaning of ponds and completion of survey work of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were reviewed.
During the meeting, the ADC directed all the BDPOs to ensure cleaning of the ponds of each village keeping in mind the instructions issued by the government, which will be monitored by the DDPO as the nodal officer. Similarly, all BDPOs were asked to prepare playgrounds in all villages of the district under the Mag-NREGA scheme, which should be monitored by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad as the nodal officer.
Apart from this, all BDPOs were instructed to complete the survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by March 31 and ensure that no eligible beneficiary in all villages of the district is deprived of the benefits of this scheme. Along with this, in relation to the Gram Sabha session starting from next week, all officers/employees of rural development were instructed to ensure proper action for organizing the session in the Gram Panchayats and letters should be issued at their level to various departments at the block level to participate in the session.
